Repeat message “currently unable to download, try later” on Galaxy S3 is one of the most common problems that users are facing. Fixes are given here. I've been having issues with downloading MMS. It says currently unable to download.try again later. However, later it never works. I have wifi off and I've disabled juice defender, restarted my phone, restarted handcent, cleared data from handcent, cleared data from stock messaging and no dice.

I keep getting the posted error message any time I get a picture message or a mass text message (text sent to multiple numbers), and I don't know what to do. I just got my phone about two weeks ago, so I'm rather new to the Android format and all. I've tried googling the issue as to not waste you fine Redditors time, but I cannot find any concrete solution and I hoped someone here could help.
Any suggestions or known fixes? Thanks a lot

Hi! I have a similar problem. Since the last update of Signal, I can't download MMS. I need to configure the MMS settings for Signal but it is already done for the phone. It was working fine until now. You can find the log file at https://gist.github.com/anonymous/0ce1fce2021aad9b6b9b |

@bmkilpat From your log, the system is returning 'MMS_ERROR_INVALID_APN,' which suggests you don't have your APN information configured correctly in your system settings. |

@thewholelifetolearn You're running pre-lollipop, so there's no way for the app to use the system APN settings, which is why you have to configure your APN in the app itself. |
